64 SeaRay Runabout

Description: Not a true to showroom restore, but a cleaning up and retrofitting to keep her somewhat close to her original and allowing for some "newer" convenience, not to mention ensuring her seaworthiness...I have stripped all the wiring from the bilge, blower, bow and stern lights, interior lights and horns because they were a train wreck and will make a proper harness and rewire to a new switch panel. I have also dc'd all the gauges, and ignition wiring from dash to stern mainly because there were so many jumpers and pigtails added as after thoughts I am sure I have a better chance of shorting and catching fire than actually sinking the damn thing...after the bloody knuckles and bloody cussing I actually found in that mess the original wiring harness....bonus????...to be continued....
Tools / Materials: Go to the Boating Store

Got it home in one piece
Looks pretty decent from here eh?

Dash, Speedo, Tach and Wheel original...all other gauges, switch panel and seats are not original to boat and installed by prior owners
Interior View from Stern

1966 Mercruiser Inline Six Twin Carb 150hp

DC'd Rotted out jump seats
Interior View From cockpit aft

Better shot of twins
little better view

But my wiring is a friggin' mess
Hello, I start right up........

No gunwhales
cap and gunnels fine, but the gunwhales have been gutted prior to me owning this bugger....add that to the list of things to do after the floor and I am sure stringers and foam?...if there is any foam.....

just had a new floor put in her...yup...didnt lie...3/4 pressure treated plywood over the original fiberglass deck with sexy brand new sapphire blue carpeting....notice all the seats are gone?...floor is soft in so many places I decided to strip it and see where this is going to lead...knowing that my engine is top notch for its age and the outdrive as well...if worse comes to worse, I can junk the glass and ebay the rest....(probably won't...I want to give her life again!)
