Description:
|
I had some customers wanting me to mod their 1648 Alumacraft, to make it more friendly for tournament fishing. These guys fish jon boat tournaments around Georgia, and wanted a rig that would be suitable both for electric only lakes, as well as small reservoirs that permit the use of a gasoline outboard.
The boat was a 2003 model Alumacraft riveted 1648. While it was purchased used, it was virtually unmolested, and aside from some scratches in the paint, was in good condition.
Ultimately, the boat will have a 55 pound thrust bow mount trolling motor, and swap between a 101 pound thrust transom mount, and a 15 horse Yamaha four stroke, depending on the lake requirements. It will also be set up with side imaging sonar/GPS.
