Description:
|
Recently, I had a guy come to me, interested in me doing a little work on a jon boat he was about to buy, to make it more bass fisherman friendly. The primary use for this boat is for fishing in smaller electric propulsion only reservoirs around Atlanta. The hull he ended up choosing was a 2009 G3 1436.
He wanted a bow casting deck, completed with seat pedestal, and a well for the bow trolling motor foot pedal. In the deck would be two hatch lids, opening up to the hull for storage of lesser used items. Just aft of the middle bench would be a storage compartment for the two batteries needed for a bow trolling motor, and all accessories. A flat deck would be added between this battery hatch, and the rear bench. All the decking, including the existing benches, would be carpeted, and for cost reasons, all structure would be wood, with plywood decking.
